We promptly drove back down and bitched - they offered to clean it, but we said we weren’t comfortable staying there. Fast forward an hour, and we got a clean, bug-free cabin (unit A-1 son), with a badass view of the lake and Mount Fuji. Knowing how to tactfully and effectively complain when appropriate is a great life skill - without it we would’ve spent the night hosting an all-you-can-crawl spiders-in-my-nostrils Jamboree extravaganza for any bug willing.
